SizeCap: Compress Video to MB
Compress one video or a batch of up to nine on iPhone and iPad. SizeCap works locally, checks each finished file's actual byte size, and only hands you results at or below the cap you chose.
What it does
- Compresses one video or up to nine videos selected together
- Uses a 10, 25, 50, or 100 MB cap, or a custom number you enter
- Applies one cap to the whole batch and processes videos one at a time
- Lets you cancel an in-progress compression or batch
- Works out the bitrate from your cap, then checks the result's real bytes
- Tells you the smallest workable size when a cap is too small for the clip's length
- Imports from Photos, Files, or the iOS share sheet
- Uses H.264 for SDR video and HEVC Main 10 for HDR video, preserving HDR color information
- Preserves separate audio tracks instead of flattening them into one
- Saves to Photos or hands the finished MP4 file to the share sheet
- When available, tries to keep the shooting date on copies saved to Photos
- On iOS 26, user-started long compressions can continue in the background when the system allows
- Runs on your device and leaves your original videos untouched

Bug reports are more useful with the iOS version, the device model, the clip's length and resolution, the cap you set, and the size of the file you got.
Things to know in version 1.3
- A batch can contain up to nine videos. Every video in that batch uses the same cap and is compressed in sequence.
- Results are MP4 files. SDR uses H.264; HDR uses HEVC Main 10 with HDR color information. Audio is AAC, and separate source audio tracks remain separate.
- Very short clips can land well under the cap. SizeCap verifies the upper limit; how close the result gets depends on the footage.
- The shooting date can only be carried over when that detail is available to the app.
- Background continuation on iOS 26 is controlled by the system and can still be stopped for resource or time limits.

报告问题时带上 iOS 版本、设备型号、视频的时长和分辨率、你设定的上限，以及你拿到的文件大小，处理起来会快很多。
使用 1.3 版本前请留意
- 每批最多 9 个视频，统一使用同一个上限，并按顺序逐个压缩。
- 成品为 MP4：SDR 使用 H.264；HDR 使用 HEVC Main 10 并保留 HDR 色彩信息。音频为 AAC，源视频中的多条音轨仍分别保留。
- 很短的视频压完可能明显低于上限。SizeCap 会核对上限，成品离上限多近则取决于素材本身。
- 只有在应用能取得拍摄日期时，才能尽量把它带到相册副本中。
- iOS 26 的后台继续由系统调度，仍可能因为资源或时间限制而停止。
